docs/capabilities/build_ledger.py reads the component statuses out of
maven-architecture.json, so the whole implementation half of the ledger fails to
build on a clone that does not have it. It has to be tracked.
What lands: the five generator scripts, the viewer template, findings.md, the
README and the seven .mmd diagram sources, plus the inventory JSON itself.
verify_anchors.py resolves 681 of 692 claimed symbols to path:line and exits
non-zero on a miss, 11 skipped as config keys. That proves an identifier sits on
a line and nothing more. Writing the responsibility field caught 29 symbols
filed under the wrong component and 7 names invented outright, and a later
refutation pass caught 4 wrong readings on top of that.
What does not land, and is now gitignored: index.html at 836 KB of inlined JSON
and SVG, anchors.md, architecture-evidence.txt, tree.txt, the redacted compose
file, the rendered SVGs and maven-evidence.zip. All of them rebuild with
pack_evidence.sh.
render.sh is the only syntax check this repo has for a .mmd, and it found two
real parse errors on its first run.
--no-verify: 4,900 non-markdown lines. The inventory and its generator are one
artifact and neither is readable without the other.

build_ledger.py extracts 51 capabilities and 156 DoD criteria from docs/spec.md
and joins them with domains.yaml and verdicts.json. The generator is also the
checker: it exits non-zero on a capability with no DoD criteria, no State line,
no domain or more than two, an unknown domain, a criterion id collision, a
domains.yaml or verdicts.json row naming something that does not exist, a
verdict word outside the five, and a reason outside the plan's list. It caught
the domain reconciler silently dropping recall from its 51.
It also refuses an evidence path that does not resolve, a section heading absent
from the file it names, a pass whose reason is not passes, and a fail resting on
no runtime proof. Sixteen verdicts had cited a section of the eval that did not
exist.
domains.yaml is the one judgment call in the extraction and is hand-edited.
--no-verify: 584 non-markdown lines, all of them new files. The generator and
the domain table it reads are one reviewable idea and splitting them leaves
neither readable alone.

Persist reminder presentations and retry state, atomically complete collapsed deliveries, fall back across away reaches, and block permanent failures visibly (V-715, V-678). Fail closed when enabled integrations lack credentials and keep remote arms explicitly dark (V-691). Give mavweb one sanitized, request-correlated error contract (V-689). Owner explicitly requested direct commits to master.
silero-vad replaces the energy threshold when -vad-model points at it.
Everything after the speech decision is the same state machine: the speech
hold, the silence hold, the length cap and the utterance buffer.
The model window is 512 samples and the capture frame is 480, so silero.go
re-chunks across frames. main.go claimed the two matched, which was true of
silero v4.
Stage two, the wake word, is not here. It needs a Russian keyword model that
does not exist yet.
make build now catches a broken supervisor on homesrv. deploy/mavgpud.json
carries the owner's gemma-4-12b line with the MTP draft model, passed to
llama-server untouched. The unit is a systemd user unit because sudo on the
workstation wants a password; lingering is the one command left to the owner.
It was untracked but not ignored, so one git add -A would have committed
MAVEN_AMBIENT_TOKEN. Same class as deploy/telegram.env, which is already
ignored.
morning_routines, feeds, crawl.on_demand and netscan.enabled in
deploy/mavend.json; -ambient-token on mavweb, interpolated from a gitignored
/.env. All verified on the box: the dispatcher builds the morning plan,
/api/ambient answers 401/201, the crawler reads a named page, netscan finds 3
devices, and /events fills with scan:lan and ambient:notif.
Filed 482 (ambient reads a notification's wall clock as UTC). Corrected 479:
both capabilities work once configured, so it is not a routing defect.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01NJYcaBiuny9UGSpFweQVQ1
task start and task pr already own the branch, the identity and the PR.
What was missing sat on either side of them.
pickup runs task start, reads TASK.md and any handoff, then restates the
assumption set and stops. That pause is the point: every wasted session
here began with an agent that inferred the goal instead of stating it
back. wrap runs the tests, updates the durable docs, commits in slices,
calls task pr, and records in Vikunja what task pr cannot know.
HANDOFF.md is gitignored and injected by a SessionStart hook. It holds
what the next agent needs to resume and nothing else. TASK.md is the
brief for the branch and does not change. Anything that would still
matter next week goes to Vikunja, CLAUDE.md or docs/.
CLAUDE.md documented none of this, which is why an agent would rebuild
it. It does now, including the two hooks in ~/.claude/hooks.
.claude/ was ignored wholesale. The workflow is now tracked, because how
a session behaves should be reviewed like code.

The fix pass ran in git worktrees, which need models/ symlinked in from the
main checkout to build. .gitignore covered the embedder and llm symlinks but
not stt and tts, so those two were committed as absolute-path symlinks.

internal/update applies a new build of Maven to the box she runs on and
undoes it when the new build does not come up. cmd/mavupdate is the only
trigger: a CLI the owner runs on the host.
Apply is health-check the running daemon, snapshot the deployed artifacts,
make build, make test, install, restart, health-check — and restore the
snapshot on any failure. The order is load-bearing:
- The preflight health check refuses to update a daemon that is already
not answering. Without a working baseline, a failed update and a box
that was already broken are indistinguishable, and the rollback has
nothing to prove itself against.
- The snapshot is taken BEFORE the build, because make build writes its
binaries into the working tree and on the docker deployment the tree
is the install dir — snapshotting afterwards would snapshot the new
artifacts and leave nothing to roll back to.
- Verification is make build plus make test, before anything is
deployed, so a broken tree costs time and nothing else. A failed
verify also puts the tree's artifacts back, so a later restart by
hand cannot deploy code that failed its own tests.
- The rollback depends on nothing that just changed: byte-for-byte
copies out of the snapshot dir, sha256-verified on the way in, and
the same restart command. No build, no migration, no cooperation from
the code being replaced. It also runs on an uncancellable context —
a rollback interrupted halfway is worse than the failure that caused
it. When the restore itself fails it says so and names the directory
to copy back by hand rather than reporting a tidy rollback.
Off unless configured, and the refusals are code, not documentation. The
daemon does not import this package: there is no IPC method, no web route,
no timer and no act that can start an update, so nothing Maven says or
routes reaches it. Nothing fetches code — the new version is whatever the
owner pulled into the tree. The plan's release checker, auto-update
channel and in-process crash-loop supervisor are deliberately absent; a
process cannot reliably notice that it keeps dying, and restart-on-crash
belongs to compose or systemd. The database is never snapshotted or rolled
back; schema compatibility stays store.Migrate's job.
The config is refused at load without a health socket, since an update
that cannot check its own result cannot roll back, and refused when the
snapshot dir is inside the install dir, since a restore must not read from
what the install writes.
Vikunja #249
The extraction seam landed on the previous branch but nothing fed it. This
adds the daemon that does: every interval it opens one mailbox read-only
(EXAMINE + BODY.PEEK, so reading leaves no \Seen behind), fetches the UIDs
it has not handed over yet, and posts each message to core over
ingest_mail. Core runs the model and writes task candidates; this daemon
writes nothing and cannot create a reminder.
It is a separate daemon because of the credential. mavpoll set the
precedent with the zenmoney token (#125): the module talking to the third
party holds the secret, reads it from a file so it never lands in argv, in
docker-compose.yml or in shell history, and core never sees it. There is
deliberately no -password flag, and a test asserts that.
Off unless configured at both ends: without -password-file the daemon
refuses to start, and if core has no email block the first ingest returns
ErrUnknownMethod, which disables the reader instead of hammering a socket
that will keep refusing. A seen-UID state file (0600, atomic write) keeps a
restart from re-extracting the whole lookback window; correctness does not
depend on it, since capture dedupes on normalised text. Logs are counts and
UIDs — no subject, sender or body.
Verified with an in-process IMAP server and a fake core: bulk mail is
filtered before core is asked, seen UIDs are not re-fetched, a failed
ingest is retried next poll, ErrUnknownMethod stops at the first message,
and state survives a restart. The live half is untested by design — no IMAP
credential exists on this box; setup is written up as QA steps.
Vikunja #246
The trust boundary is zenmoney, not maven — they already hold his bank
sessions. So the poller reads /v8/diff/ and writes totals as
facts(kind=env, source=poll:zenmoney); core reads those back when he asks
and never sees the token.
internal/zenmoney sums transactions per currency over a window, skipping
tombstoned rows and transfers between his own accounts, and refuses to
encode a summary built from zero transactions. That refusal is the whole
design: a failed or empty read writes nothing and leaves the last good
total alone, because a zero recited as fact is worse than silence. No
currency conversion either — a figure he can check against his bank beats
one he cannot.
Off unless configured, and the token is read from a FILE rather than a
flag so it never lands in `ps`, in docker-compose.yml, or in shell
history. Nothing about the money is search input, no tick rule reads the
keys, and the log lines name keys, never figures.
The live-credential half is BLOCKED: there is no zenmoney account or token
here, so everything is verified against a recorded diff fixture.
.gitignore had deps/ and /models/llm/ with trailing slashes. A trailing slash
only matches a real directory, so a *symlink* with the same name is not ignored
and git add -A commits it as a symlink blob.
That bites anyone working in a git worktree, where deps/ and models/ do not
exist and have to be linked in from the main checkout. It already happened once
tonight.

five fixes spotted during routing investigation:
- gitignore: replace blanket models/ ignore with per-dir exceptions
(/models/embedder/, /models/stt/, /models/tts/) so the seed text
files under models/seeds/ are tracked in version control
- query.txt: fix merged line — 'сколько стоит свет в этом месяце' and
'найди заметку про сервер' were fused with no separator
- reminder.txt: add 11 pure-verb reminder seeds without time expressions
to shift centroid toward the reminding intent rather than time-lexicon
- StubDateTimeParser: add Russian 'через <N> <unit>'/'через час'/'через
полчаса', 'сегодня'/'завтра'/'послезавтра' with optional clock, and
'в <clock>' scan. Add Russian word numbers (один-десять) and unit
inflections (час/часа/часов, минута/минуты/минут, день/дня/дней,
неделя/недели/недель). Also adds missing English day/week units.
- replySystem: guard time branch against duration queries ('сколько
времени прошло') reaching it via the classifier path after the
stage-0 grammar's build filter rejects them. Mirrors stage0.go
duration keywords.
recordingAPI did not implement the new CoreAPI.RevertFact method
added in a02e10f, causing a build failure in auth tests.
Also adds coverage.out to .gitignore.
Compose stack replacing start-maven.sh's bare `&`-backgrounded processes.
Single multi-stage image builds all six daemons (CGO + prebuilt native libs
from deps/); compose runs one container each with a different command. Only
mavend mounts the encryption key (env_file, gitignored) and the db volume; the
modules mount just the shared unix-socket dir and read-only models — so the
"key-free modules" boundary is OS-enforced (separate namespaces), not just a
code convention. IPC stays unix-domain over a shared volume: zero code change,
paths move to /run/maven. Encrypted db at rest on a named volume, decrypted
working copy in tmpfs (RAM) per the at-rest encryption landed earlier.
Validated: `docker compose config` clean, mavend.json parses, all daemon flags
confirmed. NOT build-tested (no docker/GPU in authoring env) — deploy/README.md
lists the host-dependent tweak points (GPU passthrough, onnxruntime path,
cross-container voice bind, netdata host).
Chosen Docker over interim systemd units per the "dockerize soon" call — no
throwaway supervisor built.

Completes the three in-flight open items and fixes the away-fallthrough bug.
Item 7 — passkey step-up (WebAuthn):
- internal/webauthn: ES256/P-256 register + assert with real ecdsa signature
verification, minimal CBOR/COSE decode, PasskeySession (L2→L3 on assert,
decays after TTL). Drop the RS256 offer we can't verify (register-ok/
assert-fail trap). Verify rpIdHash + UP/UV flags in FinishAssertion — UV is
the step-up gesture. Round-trip test with negative cases (tampered sig,
missing UV, wrong origin).
- cmd/mavweb: /auth/passkey enroll+assert page (the only surface that can do
a WebAuthn gesture) + the four begin/finish endpoints. Without this the
daemon's PasskeySession swap leaves /tools enable permanently blocked.
- daemon wires PasskeySession as the auth Session + srv.StepUp; policy gates
MethodAssertStepUp at AuthRead.
Item 5 — tools page: DisableTool through store/ipc/client/wire; /tools grows a
disable action and a link to the passkey page. Lifecycle test.
Item 6 — note RAG: PhraseQuery on the phraser (LLM-composed answer over top-k
notes, raw-notes fallback); IntentQuery routes through it. Stub returns a
deterministic summary.
Item 2 — away-fallthrough: on ErrVoiceNoSession the dispatcher now reroutes
through the AWAY table (sev3→ntfy, sev4→telegram-repeat-til-ack, sev≤2→drop)
instead of silently dropping / mis-routing to the present-list remainder.
Covers DispatchNudge + DispatchReminder. 4 tests.
Also: re-add ProposeTool to CoreAPI (dropped in a comment rewrite), fix
missing imports + a duplicate block left mid-edit, drop dead AssertStepUpFunc,
gitignore /mavcaldav.
